A hundred years ago, interurban streetcars like the two seen here ran between the city of Los Angeles and the outlying agricultural areas where someday  dozens of towns and cities would spring from  fertile orchard and farm lands.  Streetcar #1058 is a restored example of one of these interrurbans, while #501 is an exact replica, built to original Pacific Electric plans, that runs daily in the port of San Pedro near Los Angeles.
